The Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement values our partnerships with faculty. Our points of connection include support for service-learning courses and other community engaged learning experiences, professional development opportunities in collaboration with the Office for Faculty Excellence, as well as support for community engaged research.
Faculty-Community Partnerships
The Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement facilitates existing partnerships between the community and academic programs and fosters the development of new collaborations that enhance student learning and contribute to the greater good. These partnerships often take place within courses, but also extend beyond semester boundaries to include interdisciplinary teams of faculty, community partners, and students. These partnerships provide the opportunity for students, faculty, and community partners to learn from one another, address community needs, and leverage community assets and expertise.
